As the firm’s Managing Partner, Mr. Marashlian is responsible for coordinating and managing staff and attorneys and the overall day-to-day operations of the law firm. Mr. Marashlian also provides legal guidance to the firm’s clients at every stage of operations, from start-up and market entry to winding down and dissolution. Mr. Marashlian’s commercial law practice serves the firm’s clients from cradle to grave.

Mr. Marashlian assists clients with compliance matters, transactions (mergers, acquisitions), transaction taxes (sales tax), litigation & regulatory defense. Mr. Marashlian provides general corporate and strategic business advice to companies of all shapes and sizes, from entrepreneurial start-ups to established, multi-national businesses transacting business in the United States and abroad. Mr. Marashlian assists clients with contract negotiation, drafting, review, interpretation, defense and enforcement as well as asset management, transfers of control including mergers and acquisitions and other corporate restructurings. He represents clients at all stages of their business development working with them to achieve creative solutions to address their needs and create unique opportunities.

Mr. Marashlian is published in the Federal Communications Law Journal, and more recently, the CommLaw Conspectus. Mr. Marashlian actively contributes articles to industry and trade publications and is frequently quoted as an industry expert on a variety of subject matters.

Education

Mr. Marashlian received his Bachelor of Arts degree and graduated cum laude from the University of Richmond, majoring in Political Science. Mr. Marashlian earned his Juris Doctor at the George Mason University School of Law where he completed specialized courses as part of the law school’s Regulatory Track; focusing on the telecommunications and information technology industries.

Mr. Marashlian is licensed to practice in the state of Maryland. Admitted to United States Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. Member of the Federal Communications Bar Association since 1997 and Armenian Bar Association.
